Art Notes
My wife and I decide to stop for lunch within the city of Paris. After little deliberation, we decide to bring our meals to a beautiful location near the river, Seine. In the distance the beautiful cathedral, Notre Dame can be seen quite clearly. The gargoyles on top of the cathedral act as silent sentries, protecting their surroundings from encroaching invaders intent on stealing away the very beauty Paris has to offer.
As I look around at all the surrounding fascinations, I begin to imagine this very setting as if it were a painting. We sit at a picturesque table for two and gaze at the serene river together, longing for this moment to last for an eternity. Even within a fairy tale, I cannot imagine a more romantic rendezvous. As we begin to move on, I decide to keep this image with me forever, and to share it with anyone who cares for such beauty as well.
