Nothing can compare to the excitement of Christmas in New York City. As the holiday season approaches, joy warms the hearts and souls of every human being as the race to share in the happiness and love begins. Families rush here and there to purchase those final gifts for their loved ones with smiles on their faces. Having already accomplished our last minute shopping, my family passes by the bustling stores. It is the night before Christmas and our family has one last stop to make. The church of St. Patrick’s Cathedral standing tall and beautiful on 5th Avenue, New York.
As we enter the church, the warmth embraces us as we stand in awe at the breathtaking beauty and sounds before us. The sound of the 7,300 pipes from the giant organ enraptures those around for miles, bringing everyone closer together for this magical season. While standing there listening to the last of the melodies, I cannot help but feel blessed as my family spends the last moments of Christmas Eve together in St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
