Art Notes

There’s something about a country church on a December morning that speaks to the soul. Warm light spills from every window, welcoming all who make their way up that snow-covered path. Even on the coldest days, there’s warmth and fellowship waiting inside.

The sky above puts on a show – soft pastels of rose and lavender spreading across the clouds, as if heaven itself is blessing this little valley. The rolling hills stretch out beyond, dotted with barns and farmhouses where families have lived and worshiped together for generations.

Smoke curls from chimneys, and the snow blankets everything in peaceful white. That lone figure making their way to the church door reminds us we’re never truly alone. There’s always a place to gather, to find comfort, to be part of something bigger than ourselves. The little evergreens stand like sentinels, and the split- rail fence guides the way home.

I hope this painting brings warmth into your space – a reminder that community, faith, and simple beauty can carry us through even the coldest seasons.
